I did. My family is well off and many friends are as well. They were excited to get the glider or stroller, etc.

I did because I used it to track everything we needed. I also had plenty of inexpensive things.

I did only because my parents and boss are very generous with gifts. The most expensive thing was the car seat ($500). I was shocked at some people who bought us $300 gifts so am glad I put those items on there!
I did not put nursery furniture only because ours is back ordered and I didn’t want to wait. I also didn’t want SIL judging the expensive crib I wanted.

I didn’t and wished I had. We have some well off friends and family who I know wanted to give generous gifts, but we didn’t want to seem greedy. And then after the baby was born we had some financial issues because I got PPD and could not return to work on time. It would have been so helpful to have others buy some of our big ticket items to help with that.
Register for what you want and need. People will buy what they feel comfortable with. You can also buy stuff for yourself off the registry using gift cards you receive.

We put things like car seats as a few people wanted more expensive things but that was specific for family.

I didn't. Was unexpected, but where my husband worked they collected money and then one went shopping. At the surprise work shower they had the coordinator pulled me aside and let me know to put bigger items on in the future so they didn't have to buy so many little things.

I like to buy breastfeeding stuff for new moms. I pretty much always gravitate towards the useful items. I’d put on your registry the things you want. I always wanted the uppa baby vista. After 3 kids I definitely would have gotten my use out of it.

What crib costs $2000?

I think I put my stroller, attachments, and car seat on there. I was having a shower and really didn't want to open some of the breastfeeding stuff in front of people, so bought those myself.

I did. We have the uppababy vista & Mesa on there. My grandparents are buying it for us but we added it into our Babylist registry so it’ll be easy for them to buy. That’s definitely the most expensive item on there. Nursery furniture we aren’t adding though.

Breastfeeding stuff is fine. Only two people gifted me things from my registry and one of them choose to do all the breastfeeding things I added. (In the midst of the pandemic not many people knew I was pregnant and there was no baby shower.)

I did everything but after birth items. I didn’t want people to see that I needed adult diapers and perineal spray.

I did but we had over 100 guests and I knew many of my family/friends can afford to buy it. I also bought expensive items for them for their babies. I think it depends on how of a baby shower you’re having, and if the people invited or participating can afford big items. If anything, I would even add the stuff for the discount if you use BuyBuyBaby or Amazon.

I’m starting my registry and unsure of some items to put on it. We have mostly small items ( bath items, feeding items, play gyms, etc.) and some bigger items ( swing, bouncer, and high chair), but I’m not sure if it’s customary to put expensive items like a stroller ( UppaBaby V2) or nursery furniture ( Babyletto Crib) and other things like a dresser, rocking chair, night stand, etc. I’m also not sure if I add mom thing like breastfeeding stuff and after birth care items or do you buy that separately?
