It's just a long sleeved shirt with their name on the back. They wear it before the game. It's a required purchase for CYA travel. Just buy it since you're already spending a bunch of money.

The kids wear them over their sleeveless uniform jerseys when they arrive to the game and warm up. They come off for the start of the game unless a kid isn't playing (practice player or injured).

My dc made a travel basketball team and we have to buy shirts, a vest, and a long sleeved shooting shirt. Is this to wear to practice? Or under the vest? I’m confused about the purpose of this shirt.
