So, no, it's not "oh the PTA moms get preferential treatment", it's just that the PTA moms have the time and money to spend getting tutoring, mathnasium, Beast Academy, etc., plus have the time to put together a really nice package of stuff for their kids.

Centers don't have Principal Placement so there would be less of a connection. I believe the bigger concern is at schools with Principal Placements, so the Local Level IV. The concern is that parents who are active in the PTA might have better connections with Teachers and the Principal and that could influence their kids placement in the LLIV program if the child was not selected by the Central Committee.

The concern is that parents who are active in the PTA might have better connections with Teachers and the Principal and that could influence their kids placement in the LLIV program if the child was not selected by the Central Committee.
