She's 7 years old. She's a 9 (center forward) on the team.

You are using numeric designations in 7 yo rec soccer?

Oh boy.

You need to settle down. A lot.

I’m hoping pp was not OP and was just being sarcastic.

My kid is stronger and can give it a good strong kick that goes a quarter of the way down the field If no one is in the way.

The coach never yells at the little girl who kicks it away from my DD. I yell, “same team!” and “wrong way!” But her mom kept giving me a look last game.

Wondering if I should speak to the coach about the little girl’s stealing from my DD and her mom’s annoyed glances when I yell at her. Of is this how it is when you are 9 in a team of 7 year olds.

1) The coach should never yell at players. That's disqualifying behavior.
2) Don't coach from the sidelines.
3) No. You don't speak to the coach. Stay in your lane. You're only a parent.

Stop yelling at children. If you must, yell at your own only.

What’s wrong with what I yelled? The kid needs direction and our coach isn’t giving it.

Looks like you should volunteer to be the coach next year. And shut up in the meantime.

Your 9 yo is playing with he wrong age group. But that aside, you shouldn’t be coaching anyone, and especially not someone else’s kid, from the sidelines. That’s for the coach to do, so if you want any input you need to volunteer to coach a team.

You’re yelling at a 7 yo? You need to chill, lady.

You seem to be a new soccer parent. Here’s how to be a good one:

1. Do not coach from the sidelines.
2. Don’t yell at your kid or any kid.
3. Just watch and cheer for your kid.

If you have issues with the coaching or the skill level of the other kids, talk to the coach out of earshot from kids or move your kid to a more appropriate level.

OMG this is so typical on younger rec teams. They’re excitable and often clueless. Not sure why your DD is playing down but you need to let the coach handle it.
