I plan to ask more questions this year about the specific curriculum used in reading and writing. I don’t think I asked enough questions with my older child.

Also what’s the plan to differentiate as they move past the beginning of year assessments. Will they be getting back to small group work.

Are you requesting the conference or is the teacher making the request?

Do you have specific questions for the teacher about your child? Write them down and bring a list so you don’t forget to ask.

Ours are so quick - 15 minutes - and the teacher just gives a brief update on academics and classroom behavior. There isn't really time to discuss much more. You can always request a seperate phone call later on if there is something specifically concerning you.
