Hmm I pick up my high schooler from suburban metro stop every day at 3:22, once in a while, 3:11, depending on which orange line train he catches. Yesterday he arrived at 3:11. I don't know if he was lucky or this is over-hyped. We'll see how today goes.

Maybe just the few times I checked but the app always showed trains arriving at normal intervals (with a change at Metro center). So the overall ride time was the same as usual.

wmata train 407 actually derailed at least 3 times on Oct. 12. Trail of broken brake parts along Blue Line tracks.

Took Metro Bus instead of Rail. Very few folks in the bus and I arrived at my desk at about the same time. (Columbia Heights --> L'Enfant)
