My DC thought it was too isolated, too Greek and not serious enough. Chose W&M and saved us the extra tuition.

Had the same reaction when I toured with my DC. I really liked it but he/she did not. But is very interested in W&M, so that's funny.

I only know one person who went there and he happens to be one of the biggest douchebags I know.

What about for engineering students or a serious science student in general?
Does the experience vary for them? Would they feel out of place ?

Lame DCUM moms.

I might have loved that atmosphere at that age. But I know my kid, and he'd hate it and not fit in all.

Pretty campus but isolated, really nothing but the school is there. Locals work at the federal prison or target.
My kid got a good education (in med school now) but did not appreciate the total focus on greek life for social life. She made some nice friends but there is no reason/desire to go back for a visit

The kind of student who chooses Bucknell had the cool parents who let them drink at home.

Wow! If all that’s true, I have a much lower view of Bucknell, or at least their students.

Doubt it's true. But claiming it speaks volumes.

A neighbor's DS is looking to transfer after saying that the Bucknell is just a four year long frat party. Is that accurate?
