That happened at my kids HS. Kid was quarantined for 10 days and low and behold mom decided to get vaccine for her kid. The public health issue wasn’t enough- only when it was an inconvenience for her family.
I feel bad for the ones too young to get the vaccine but they will be able to do so soon.

When will we see adjustments to the quarantine policies that are putting an unnecessary burden on our kids and caregivers? Who do we contact to get movement on this issue?
Did you read the link you posted? It's for eligible residents who have received at least one shot. The percent of eligible residents who are fully vaccinated is 90.1%.
MCPS has been adjusting its quarantine policies since school started, and I would expect MCPS to continue to do so.
Even with one dose, people are protected against Covid. Either way you look at it, we are way past what they said we would need for herd immunity. What is the goal at this point?
Plus, we know that kids in Montgomery County have been safe from Covid. ZERO Covid deaths in kids age 0-19 since the beginning of this pandemic.

How are they justifying such strict quarantine rules in such a highly vaccinated county?
No, we are not. Rather self-evidently. There were 103 new positive cases in the county yesterday. There may be a case for loosing the quarantine rules, but "we've reached herd immunity" ain't it.
Yes, quarantine is tough on families, I'm sincerely sorry if it's been tough on yours.

If kids are a burden, birth control and adoption are your friends. No more kids and you can put your kids in temporary foster care until they can be adopted as you don't have the interest to care for them.

Right. Speaking from someone who knows and cannot handle their kids.
