I had mine at Sibley at 38.5 weeks. Simply because that was when I could schedule with my preferred doctor.

Second time around, I was hoping to have spontaneous labor to avoid another induction + unscheduled C. Scheduled the C for 40 weeks + 6 days. Baby didn't arrive by then, so out he came by C.

My OB's office would schedule it any time during the 39th week. I picked the day when my preferred doctor was on call. My water broke the night before the scheduled date.

OP I'm early yet, only 20 weeks. It was raised by my OB for something for me to think about but no need to decide for a while yet.

I'm AMA but not otherwise high risk. Baby is measuring average. DD1 was 9 lbs and 21.5 inches long at 40+1 and also measured average throughout the pregnancy. With DD1 my water broke, but no contractions, so I was induced with cervadil and went from 1cm to 5cm in about 4 hours. It was going pretty well until DD1 started showing signs of fetal distress after I got Pitocin, so then fairly quickly I had a c-section.

How is this baby measuring? You don’t want to take a risk on NICU time by going too early.

It’s typically at 39 weeks. They won’t schedule before that unless medically necessary

DP but I was told that at Sibley they won't do it before 39 without a medical indication requiring an earlier delivery.

I had a scheduled C for my 2nd right at 39 weeks. Went into labor a few days before that and still had a C-section (so it was rushed but not an emergency).

Mine was 39+3. Solely because that was when the OB was working. Any time in week 39 is fine.

I had only scheduled c-sections: first was 39 weeks + something (don’t recall anymore), but second and third were 39+0 and 39+1, respectively. Last one would have been 39+0 had that not fallen on a Sunday.

I had an unplanned C-section with my first due to fetal distress. I'm trying to decide if I want to try for a VBAC with my current pregnancy or just do a scheduled C-Section. My doctor says I'm a good candidate for a VBAC other than the fact that my first kid was 9lbs and I am somewhat petite. If I had a scheduled C-section the doctor said they would schedule it around 39 weeks. If you had a second scheduled c-section when was it?
