Kenmore has a good reputation for supporting students with disabilities but I don't know specifically about 2E. HB may be good as it's a supportive place and flexible, but it's also not very structured so that's not right for all kids.

A 2e kiddo could do well at HB as classes are small and they do a good job with scaffolding skills and encouraging independence.
When my kiddo got in from her neighborhood school there was only 1 spot allocated to students from outside of APS. They will give you a chance to visit before you decide to take the spot or not - in fact, it was required for my daughter to visit before she committed.

My child is gifted and has ADHD-combined type. As we are coming up on middle school, I was wondering if anyone had experience with a child with this profile at Kenmore Middle (where we are zoned) or HB Woodlawn. (Yes - I realize it is unlikely to get into HB Woodlawn. I am just wondering if we should apply or if it's not worth it). DC is not currently enrolled in APS. Do these schools allow you to visit to see if it might be a good fit? I'm not sure how it works not coming from within APS. Thanks!
