NYT and NPR are center/center-right these days.

I can barely consume either now. Never followed RW news but LW has become so biased and manipulative I can’t stand it. So I am walking around clueless but happier.

You realize that is nuts, right?

WaPo isn't "really left or right?"

You lose the center when you can't even pretend to be objective about things.

Let's call a spade a spade. If a centrist is dithering between Democrats and actual insurrectionists and one "loses" them because one calls the WaPo neither left nor right, then they weren't really a centrist to begin with.

I think the analysis is skewed. I would move the middle line to the left about halfway to the next line. I consider BBC, PBS, Reuters to be in the middle. It is interesting how people's perceptions of where the middle is has slowly skewed to the right over the past few decades.

Even in the UK the BBC is considered left leaning.

OANN is def TV and that is outright propaganda. Fox isn't far behind.

This is no left wing media in this country. Lots of corporate outlets like MSNBC. Those will push “moderate” democrats but nit really left wing or progressives.

MSNBC definitely leans left but they are corporate entity so completely alienating the right doesn't make sense. Most right or left wing extreme media is online not on TV.
