DD, 16, has been in taekwondo since she was three. She made it all the way to black belt. It gave her strength and confidence, especially important since she’s small. I highly recommend it and staying with it IF you have a great leader/teacher and studio.

My 5 yo DD is taking taekwondo and loves it. We’ve noticed an increase in her strength, balance, and body confidence - she’s more adventurous on the playground. Her class is about 50/50 boys girls.

Our sons take tae kwon do. There are girls in the classes also. They all seem to like it. Why wouldn't girls take tae kwon do?

The same as I think for boys. It is not a gendered sport.

What do you think about karate, tae kwon do, etc for girls.
