Do you mean UC San Diego? San Diego State would be a very low safety

You'd be shocked the number of people outside the DC area who are on here. Finding good discussions about high school and college is tough. There's Reddit and there's College Confidential for sure. But a lot of discussions here are not limited to just the DC area. There are currently active discussions about Computer Engineering vs. Computer Science, Kenyon, Michigan Honors Program, Ugliest Building on a College Campus, etc.

UC Davis? Santa Clara? Wisconsin? For SLACs, I’d focus on ones that don’t consider demonstrated interest and yield protect. They reject a lot of top candidates.

I will respond to this though I am not the OP. I used to live in DC. When I moved, I kept using the forum. I am sure many people outside of DC post a ton of helpful info on here that you wouldn't want removed. Given your comment, I think I have been posting on here a lot longer than you have.

Sorry, but it's weird for someone in CA to be asking about safeties on a DC-based forum. It's too local of an issue.

Why? My kid’s safety is not anywhere near here.

We’re in California so no UVA. SLAC and public universities are great.

Thank you!
