The other unexpected thing he really liked but didn’t ask for was a weighted blanket for his bed. He’s still using it two years later and loves it.

Since that age, my DS has usually wanted a guitar, an amp, a long board or snowboarding equipment (along with things like hoodies and sneakers)

He wanted art supplies. We got him a $500 gift card to an art supply store. He goes every month. The staff introduce him to something new and he’s thrilled to try it.

Lol. My 12 year old needs a couch blanket at all times. Outside of winter months, I’m very against them on anti-clutter principles. But a solid 80% of nights in my house, he and DH are watching Netflix with either shared or separate blankets wrapped around them. Probably a pretty healthy way to relax, as much as it cracks me up. I don’t really understand the appeal of TV.

Mine just keeps asking over and over again for a super expensive gaming computer, gaming chair, etc. It's so depressing -- I remember when they were kids and it was so fun to shop for them! Now I just feel like the Grinch saying "You're not getting that."
