There are very few proteins my kids will eat in the morning (they hate eggs, yogurt, etc) and adding collagen to smoothies would be a helpful way to get some protein into them. Just curious if others have done or do the same.

I've added a little bit of collagen to my DS's smoothie in the morning. He didn't particularly love the flavor + there aren't a lot of calories in collagen powder.
If your kids won't eat any breakfast protein, I could see doing it, but make sure you're using a high quality brand. On the other hand, kids don't need breakfast food for breakfast. Sometimes DS won't eat an egg but he'll eat leftover pasta ragu.
A good way for kids to get collagen protein is bone broth. My DS likes bone broth and will eat it with ramen noodles as a snack.
