Guy here, and maybe this is cocky, but I think I was a good catch -- well educated, good job, etc. It just hit me at some point that I wanted to settle down. Not even start a family necessarily. But I was hanging out with friends who were married, and it seemed really nice to have a partner in life like that. And it is!

So many relationships are 50% timing. I could have met my wife at 22, and I wouldn't have married her.

If you get all angsty about it he will figure it out and you too won’t be the right fit. Just relax and don’t listen to your friend. Nowadays it’s easy to do a background check on someone and that’s pretty normal.

My BIL was like that. We just thought he’d never get married, although he was successful and a good catch. When he was 40 he met a woman and was married to her within 18 months to all of our surprise! Sometimes you just haven’t found your person yet.

Why don’t you create a problem and sabotage the good thing you have going??? This way you can complain that there’s not a good man out there for you. Geez, find a therapist to figure out what the hell is wrong you!

I’ve been dating this incredible man for the past two months. Things are going so well and he’s just so wonderful. I feel myself falling so deep for him more and more everyday, but I have this weird feeling in the back of my mind most of the time. A big part of me is happy I found him, and a little part of me worried why he is still single. He’s everything most women want and he hasn’t been scooped up yet. A friend told me to make sure nothing is wrong with him and I can’t get that out of my head. I need to stop this because I don’t want to ruin a good thing over a dumb thing my friend said.
