Subject: I know it seems TOOOOO early for this, but can we get a gift list going?
6 and 4 year olds (boy/girl). Both also have December birthdays.
So far I've gotten:
- Knee and elbow pads for 6 y.o.
- A chemistry set
- A kit where you make like 5 different "robots/machines"
- Minecraft Lego set
- Unicorn Glitterluck game
- Pom Pom string lights (plan to get some space themed ones for other kid)
- Books
I'm going to the toy store again this weekend to try to get 95% finished up and get ideas for grandparent gifts.
In addition, I'm thinking of getting them each some new artwork for their rooms from Etsy.
I still need some stuff for the 4 year old. I'll probably get some craft kits and Barbie stuff.

What's this about? My 1st grader came home talking about kids trading Pokemon cards on the bus and how he wants some for Christmas. I'm totally new to this...there are fakes? I can't just get some at the toy store?

Not too early. With global shipping delays you should start shopping if you haven't already. Legos are big on the list in our house this year. Razor scooter. DS is at a new school so maybe some spirit wear like a hoodie.

They can get a little frustrating. We were gifted two of these for my son (6 at the time) and the material, whatever it was, was way too hard for the plastic tools provided. The instructions say to mist the block o' goodies with water and that turned it into a muddy activity.
Anyway, the kits are fun but you'll probably need some other tools and some patience. We ended up using a hammer and screwdriver to knock the stuff apart and it got pretty noisy, which my son enjoyed more than the gems/fossils.

Costco has the cutest Pokemon set right now with cards $33. My DD loves pokemon.

10 and 12 and this is the age for games (including switch games and extras) and "things for the room" like bean bag chair, swing chair, decorative lights, theme lamp, etc. They are into their "space". They also still really like puzzles, joke books, stickering books, bath bombs, LEGO LEGO LEGO. Lots of options.
Those that liked cooking, in the past we did a sushi making kit and a homegrown mushroom kit, both excellent.

We have a keyboard, drums, guitar, and violin! Yes, they love instruments.
The cooking subscription is an awesome idea!
I got them each excavation/digging kits so far. They are obsessed with those.

Do your kids like to cook at all? We’ve really enjoyed a Raddish subscription this year, highly recommend except you DO still have to go buy the ingredients.

What are the go-to gifts this year? I have 7 and 11 year olds and they love activity type gifts (making things, crafts, remote-control stuff). Shopping early because of the shipping delays.
