Unfortunately, there aren't really any great options in the city - there are a bunch of companies that do hand washing inside various parking garages that you could try but they aren't terrible cheap.

I used to live on Connecticut Ave for 13 years in a condo building. There was no way to wash my own car. None.

You say spew, I say give ideas. OP never said they lived in a high rise condo with garage parking, just that they only have street parking and have already shut off their water lines. Sounds like a SFH or townhome, etc.

What's the cross street? On Google maps, I don't see a Sunoco between Glover Park and Bethesda.

There is a Sunoco on Wisconsin in CC that has a drive through that is low cost, a guy even brushes with soapy water on hard to reach areas, if you tip a bit, he does a bit extra. (Have to go in to let them know you want a car wash.)

They both cost $25-$30 and are both decent but not great.

I fill up my gas tank, which gets me a discount on a drive-thru wash for $12. They have a bunch of self-vacuum stations which are really powerful. I bring my own Windex and papertowels.

There's a fantastic German market right next store - amazing selection of house-made sausages, desserts, and I grab a lunch sandwich.

Having gone to both several times, I'd say they are about the same.

I juest went to Mr. Wash Express and could not believe the cost for a basic, drive-through-only wash - TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS. I thought it used to be $10 not too long ago.

They are clearly trying to negatively incentivize people to get the ongoing unlimited service, but at $40 month that's even more ridiculous.

How much is it at Wash n Shine or Flagship?

Are there any car washes that we can just run the car through an automatic machine? Do the ones mentioned have that option? Nw dc too.

Just finished a cross country drive and I also park exclusively on the street—definitely what you’d call a city car. Where can I go for the best wash and decent interior clean that’s not a full detailing job? Or even a great drive through with a good self serve vacuum. I have very little budget for things like this, but the car is gross at this point so I’d even drive to suburbs for this.
