Alexandria ASA or Arlington ASA? If Alexandria, the level of play is very high on the girls' top team, but it tapers off fairly steeply after that. They will be able to find a place for your daughter if she is a reasonably good player.

I would try to join for the spring if you can. It gives you a good idea of what the club is like without having to commit to an entire year. Usually your daughter would attend a few practices, coaches figure out what team she fits in on, and then you can join. I have done that with all of my kids. Two we decided to stay with the club they played with in the spring, one we moved to another club b/c it wasn't a good fit.

Just contact the club (or clubs) and arrange for DD to join a practice session. Don't feel like you are asking for a lot, it is normal procedure in this area.
