I honestly think they didn't expect we'd have many COVID cases. They thought it'd be more like last spring when there were very few students in the schools.

5) someone has a household member who is a confirmed or probably COVID case

Recommendations for different situations including:

1) someone with a positive COVID test

a) with symptoms (effect on vaccinated close contact/effect on unvaccinated close contact)
b) if asymptomatic (no change for close contacts)

2) someone who is a probable COVID case. (symptoms plus known exposure)

a) with symptoms (effect on vaccinated close contact/effect on unvaccinated close contact)

3) someone who is sick with COVID symptoms but has no known exposure; got negative COVID test

a) with symptoms. (effect on vaccinated close contacts/effect on unvaccinated close contacts)

4) someone who is sick with COVID symptoms but no known exposure -- won't get tested

a) if they are not fully vaccinated. (effect on vaccinated close contacts/effect on unvaccinated close contacts)
b) if they are fully vaccinated (effect on close contact the same as above)
