This is a stupid post. Women dress in all kinds of fashion and it does not bearing on their politics. Just look at Nancy Pelosi, she dresses like your fictional picture and as far as I know, Nancy Pelosi is NOT conservative.

Not to blow your theory, but I'm totally liberal and if I dress up, sheath and pearls will probably make an appearance.

I think OP would be surprised to see the way Hispanic women that vote Republican dress. Especially in places like Miami and California.

Monolithic generalizations (of any group) is very dull thinking.

Because you don't know enough conservative women IRL. Not every conservative woman looks like the politicians or media personalities that show up in memes on your feed.

+1. To the extent that you can generalize, which is obviously limited, I picture the Fox News look - tight, brightly colored sheath dresses, big hair, pancake makeup.

I am not conservative and have zero interest in defending conservative women, but I think it's weird you are using a fictional character to prove your point. I know some conservative women of different ages and from different parts of the country (all white, though!) and they don't all dress like this. A couple of the older, richer ones do. But my sister, for instance, wears ripped jeans and concert tees and has a nose ring, and she is a bible-thumping anti-vaxxer.

Also, I've definitely met WASPy Democrats who dress like this -- the sort of wannabe Jackie Kennedys. Not so much now, but in the 90s and 00s I encountered it in some of my friend's moms.

I don't think this is a thing.

I am conservative leaning and don’t dress like that at all. I would say I dress a little edgy, grunge (gen-x), with the occasional expensive accessory. Hair is dark with balayage but never blond (I’m POC).

Well, to be fair that is a more glammed up look based on the same conservative uber feminine idea

They like to look pretty. Not edgy. What's wrong with that? I believe most men probably prefer that look to the REI and rubber shoes and grey hair look.

Inspired by the other thread, it appears conservative women usually have a uniform that is an easy "tell" as to their political affiliation.

They are usually dressed conservatively in crisp traditional outfits. Sheath dresses, pearls, side parted neat clean hair, pastel colors, very uber feminine appearance.

Why don't conservative women branch out to more creative or edgier looks?
