Uhh how would Todd help an Arlington mom? He's in RICHMOND! OP call the 3 ladies listed above and see who you click with the best.

Juliet and Grace are attorney advocates. Liz is an advocate who has a lot of experience as a teacher as well. Sometimes you need an attorney and sometimes a non-attorney advocate. Good luck!

I've heard good things about Grace Kim and Liz Capone for NoVa. Wishing all of you moms well!

Googling her shows a 1 star Facebook review, if that means anything...I would check the COPAA database.

Anyone have experience with Robyn Honiberg? We were referred to her for help with our DD's school in FCPS.

For VA I would hit up Todd first (because he calls back) and see if he has anyone he can refer you to. If he's tapped out I would then try Grace Kim. Office is not quite as quick to call you back but I've heard pretty good things about that practice.

By crazies I am referring to lone wolf advocates that siphon the parent's money without knowing what the hell they're doing.

If you call a good, reputable Special Education lawyer, they can refer you out to advocates they work with. Weeds out the crazies.

If you'd like a collaborative experience with the school avoid Laura Solomon at all costs.

OP if it ever comes to due process I used Todd Ratner several years ago and had a great experience.

Looking to work with an advocate to help us navigate a sticky situation with our school, as well as help us build a solid plan for the next few years. Thank you!
