Pride that he got laid or pride that he was comfortable telling me?

We're a sex-positive household, so I wouldn't be surprised he was sharing his loss of virginity with me.

I do not know the statuses of my two teen sons and I'm fine with that. I know that my college aged DD has had sex and I'm fine with that. I think my reaction when she told me was something like "thanks for telling me. Do you have any new questions?"

Neither. He was in college and it wasn't a big deal (to me; I'm sure to him it was a huge deal).

I was angry inside but tried to hide it. DS was 17 and in a relationship but I definitely did not want one more thing to worry about. I knew his girlfriend well and she’s great and responsible as is DH. IUD and condoms but still...

I hope my younger kids wait longer.

I was happy for both my kids (son and daughter). I was also happy we had thr type of relationship where they were comfortable telling me. I didnt have that with my mom. Beyond that i felt nothing

This was my take as well. Your son feels comfortable sharing this milestone with you. I think that's great. It's good to have open conversations about sex.
