I drink whisky but the only time I’ve chugged it is before going into an unpleasant situation or when my kids are making me totally insane. Healthy, I know, but very rare.

My husband drinks expensive whiskey, has the decanter, glasses, stones, etc.

But he doesn’t drink it every day or even every week. A few times a month maybe. Usually while we are watching a movie or something.

My other favorite drink question from books and movies is about coffee….every time a detective goes to someone’s home to question them or anyone comes to visit there is coffee or tea. If your family member had just been murdered would you offer the detectives coffee and cookies????

do you think people don’t notice it, coffee doesn’t not mask the smell on your breath.

DH also chomps on a unlit cigar.

Why do people do this? I've always wondered. Can you ask him?

You get the aroma without the cancer.

It’s a gross new thing that I hope doesn’t become a habit.

He used to smoke cigars infrequently but out dentist advised him to stop.

My H has a drink 1 every night. Usually bourbon or scotch.

He doesn’t “slug it”.

He drinks from a fancy glass. We have a crystal decanter but don’t use it.

DH has at least one glass of bourbon a night, but he just sips it. No crystal decanter here.

You always see characters in shows and movies walking into their house or apartment after work slugging a glass of hard booze they pour from some fancy crystal decanter. Do people actually do this in real life? Maybe on the weekend, I get it, but everyday immediately after coming home from work? Or is that just a Hollywood thing?
