I kind of fold mine once, then wrap elastic around it. Voila! The Paul Mitchell spray is great to smooth over all the hair. I spray around, then swipe it up into the bun.

No, I just phrased it strangely. I just meant that I've had a chin length bob forever and have grown it out to shoulder length since the pandemic started. So it's new for me to have long hair as an adult.

I’m not sure shoulder length is going to do what you’re hoping. I have waist length and have had everything from shoulders to where I’m at now and it needs to be between shoulder and bra length to really be workable.

I do twist it around and just secure with hair ties. Is your hair thin? In which case you would need one of those filler things.

I have longer hair and I find that I still use one of the bun form things to keep the bun looking really neat.
