Many orchards and vineyards are dog friendly. Barrel oak winery (bow) and great country farms come to mind.

I think Gettysburg and Mount Vernon allow leashed dogs on a big portion of their property. Double check first.

All of the local bookstores are dog friendly - Solid State, East City, Politics and Prose.

National mall is fun with a pet and kids

Waterfront areas are fun to walk and get a picnic or ice cream. We do this in Navy Yard, Georgetown, Alexandria

We go to the playground all the time with both. Essentially anywhere outdoors.

Looking for ideas of places where both well-behaved dogs and children (upper elementary) can go. Obviously trails, but looking for other ideas. We already do farmer’s markets, bark social, pet stores, and we heard politics and prose is dog-friendly. Other ideas?
