What is a "small family?"
At my church, there are many families with 8+ kids--so my first thought when I hear "small family" is 4 or 5 kids plus two parents.

The Lexus hybrids are nice and generally get good consumer reports ratings (or at least have historically- mine is now more than 10 years old and I haven’t checked lately

CRVs and RAV-4s dominate this part of the market for good reason, but if you mean "luxury" when you say tasteful maybe Lexus NX300 or GLC?
