None of us like to eat a heavy breakfast on a workday, so we stick to soft-boiled egg and toast, or bread and cheese, or yogurt. Which all contain protein. Veggies and fruit are usually at lunch and dinner. On weekend mornings where we have more time to relax at breakfast, my husband likes to make bacon/sausages and eggs one WE day, and crepes with fruit and chocolate the next.

That's a heavy breakfast. My kid doesn't like to eat first thing, either, so we stick with something easy -- fruit plus eggs or PB toast or oatmeal or cereal or an English muffin with a slice of cheese.

Kodiak power waffle with peanut butter and a big glass of milk. Or Greek yogurt.

-Cold cereal: either plain Cheerios or bran flakes
-steel cut oatmeal with pistachios and chopped fruit
-whole wheat sourdough (homemade) toast with olive oil and salt
-eggs fried hard in olive oil

Most days they have one of the above plus whole milk and fresh fruit always.

I don’t stress about protein. They always drink milk which has protein. So whatever else they want I leave up to them. Frankly I think milk is the most important thing they can have.

We do scrambled eggs every morning. While they eat those, I make a carb, such as a waffle with peanut butter on it. Oatmeal. Muesli cereal.
I always do the eggs first, otherwise they won't eat them, and it's the only protein I can guarantee they will eat some days.
Kids are 4 and 2.

My 9yo has an egg on half a WG bagel and some sort of fruit pretty much every morning.

My kids usually do peanut butter either on an apple or on a rice cake (one kid's preference), plus a glass of milk. Occasionally, they choose yogurt and a muffin instead, or possibly scrambled eggs if I'm cooking myself breakfast and they want some.

Scrambled eggs and a piece of fruit
Avocado toast
Peanut butter or almond butter toast
Oatmeal (made with coconut milk from a can so it's more filling)
Plain yogurt (full fat) with fruit
Egg and cheese sandwich on toast

Basically I always try to make sure they're getting two of protein, fat, carb, and we keep added sugars to a minimum. Sometimes they eat three servings, sometimes they don't eat more than a bite. I don't force them to eat if they're not hungry.

M’y kids don’t like breakfast either. Some cold cut slices and an apple in a sack is what we did. Once they got to high school we stopped breakfast all together.

Mine won’t eat in the morning, so whatever the school offers. We were trying for a granola bar, fruit, cheese; or dinner leftovers. Now I’m lucky if they’ll drink water or milk ahead. Eggs would be a dream, but kid isn’t hungry yet and we live too close to school for a car meal or smoothie.

Go with 2 of those 3. All 3 is way to much food.

My go-tos are a protein (bacon, cheese, yogurt, or Stonyfield smoothie bottle), some fruit (pear, grapes, or berries), and a carb (toast, waffle, or pancake). One of each category every morning plus their vitamins.
They really struggle to eat it. My kids just don't like breakfast especially at 0 dark 30.

Any new/novel ideas?
