Yes, I am. The road to our weekend property is rutted gravel for the last 2 miles. A regular Impreza would be dragging it’s belly in dozens of places. Not having to buy a new oil pan or transmission cover plate every few months more than makes up for the 3-4 mpg we give up.
Plus, the car looks better aesthetically with the slight lift. The Impreza looks like it’s a low-rider with drop springs installed. Dumb looking.
Yeah, I'll bet that extra 3 inches of ground clearance makes a huge difference.
PP is right. The Crosstrek is a dumb car that is worse than the Impreza in every single way, except those three inches of ground clearance. It's a remarkable testament to the gullibility of the American consumer that Subaru manages to sell even one of them.

The imprezza brand has street racing cars in it. It was twice the cost annually to insure it compared to the Crosstrek.
