I have a 2015 crosstrek with cloth seats and it's pretty comfortable. We don't drive it a lot, but a combination of long road trips, short trips within or near the Beltway, and 1-2 hours to go hiking (where sometimes the extra clearance helps). I haven't felt like it's underpowered but have never owned an SUV or larger/sportier car--our last car was a Pontiac Vibe and this is similar. My sister and best friend both have Imprezas and they're fine too but the extra height is nice--we've also found that elderly/mobility-challenged folks . Our Crosstrek is a hybrid and it doesn't get great mileage but more than the regular version.

The imprezza brand has street racing cars in it. It was twice the cost annually to insure it compared to the Crosstrek.

That's not how insurance works. The Civic brand has street racing cars in it too, but Civics aren't expensive to insure unless you're actually insuring an Si or Type R.

I have the leather seats (I wanted heaters) and I've driven 90K miles. Very comfortable seat.

The seats are great. The problem is the Crosstrek can’t stuff you into them when you depress your right foot. It’s the most underpowered car I’ve ever owned. It needs *at LEAST* 150 additional horsepower. It’s a heavy, all wheel drive car, with the same power-to-weight ratio of an eBike.

What are your thoughts on comforty of driver's seat in 2021 Subaru Crosstrek, preferably a cloth seat?
