Not to highjack, but I have never had a good cinnamon roll. At least not one that seemed as amazing as people claim. Everything seems dry and the bread part overly sweet but otherwise flavorless. I realize I’m looking for something texture and flavorwise like a raisin challah and then with yummy cream cheese icing. Any place around here with something like that.

I haven't tried their cinnamon buns, but everything else I've tried here is delish. Located in Alexandria.

The Dutch Market locations have good ones. They are only open Thursday - Saturday.

I make them using Stella Parks' One-bowl recipe. You need to plan ahead, but if you have a stand mixer it's very little work.

Not gooey, but pecan twirls are good and somewhat clean in the generic versions. Immaculate baking also has some more natural bake at home ones.
