Same. My freshman roommate was a private school girl from NYC. She was truly the sweetest girl ever but sometimes talking to her was like talking to an alien. We just lived such different lives and the lack of shared experiences was foreign (and kind of embarrassing) for me. She invited me to her Upper East Side townhouse once during fall break and I felt like I was living in an alternate universe. It was hard (but also a great experience that I never would have gotten otherwise).

It doesn’t exactly work if he chooses to befriend the misfit and loser kids.
First world problem, I know. We may as well have sent him to a random public school!
You may as well have sent him. And then just think of all the Teslas you could have bought from the savings.
