Thanks to all who responded. I am SO nervous to go in person to dMV, I will try to do registration onine but I guess they require written test from out of state, so eventually I will have to go in-person. Damn covid and all covid related issues.

I was also late but it wasn't a big deal. Don't forget to switch your insurance over to MD and then show proof of insurance for any gap between registration and the MD insurance coverage date.

Just go. I was in a similar situation a few years ago, they didn't really ask a lot of questions about the timing

oops, i just realized that I am 9possibly) behind on getting the car registered in MD. I recently moved from different state but was going back and forth between 2 states and finally settled maybe 3 weeks ago at my new place in MD but the postal address change went through more than 2 months ago, will i be hit by fines when registering? Also, afraid to go there because of covid, will DMV take that into consideration (oh yeah, sure)?
