Y’all are hilarious. “Athletes are more fashion forward.” Um, maybe an actual NBA player is, not a high school basketball player. I also love the categorical use of the word “athletes” for kids who play high school sports. I’m not knocking anyone who plays sports, by the way- my own kids do. But I suspect “athletes” are a special category to you, and you don’t also refer to those in the marching band as “musicians” and those in the school play as “actors.”

No, it’s not. Athletes aren’t more fashion forward. Perhaps some may spend more on clothing (tailored pants, for example), just as some non athletes may do the same.

I suggest taking pictures with a blazer but then leaving it at home or in the car. My son lost his even with “coat check”. The school gave no Fs that it disappeared from coat check

Navy blazer, khakis, Oxford shirt & tie? Is there something new now?

Highly dependent on peer group. My son plays basketball—what I’ve found is that the athletes tend to have a certain look that is more fashion forward. My other son is not and his outfits for this stuff don’t differ much from what his father would wear.
