If they displayed public standings, it would be downright embarrassing. Little kid game scores sometimes have 10 goals in them.

Because nobody needs to know Johnny's goal differential from his team who got scored on 80 times in the season and scored only five.

Ncsl does keep the standings internally so they know how to form the divisions for the next season. They just don't need to share it with the public because there's no reason to face perceptions on public awareness of 9 and 10 year old soccer players

They do in the spring, relax. I think they also post end of season results. The kids are 10 years old for crying out loud.

Still only tells the how the leagues are chosen. Nothing about why they dont post the results. They should also not allow tournaments at those ages and stop being so hypocritical.

Yes they kids we've established that. What does that have to do with keeping scores and standings. Its such a BS idea. Nobody complains about the u9-u11s playing in tournaments. All of these dont keep score parents pile in the car and drive to 3-5 game tournaments 2-6 times a season and gladly accept the medal when their kids team wins that. Just like a tournament is a short term goal a full fall NCSL season is a long term goal. Something that can be used to reward the best and be used by bottom teams to see where they are compared to their competition. Remember the truth cannot be controversial ever.

Well:
1. It should always matter
2. Its competitive travel not recreational clinics
3. This the 3rd or 4th year of competitive playing for most players they should know where they stand and a reward to play for.

You can look at the NCSL slides - access through main page - for managers this season. I explains score reporting.

So what? Based on that logic, why bother keeping score during games? I don't get it. Every team knows their win/loss record. Why keep it a secret?
