OP, I believe you. Unfortunately, it can be really hard to find this info. I suggest a PI.

OP- Maryland's case law search also does not provide this.

Serious question..what would hiring a PI accomplish? Some exes still do things with kids together sometimes. What exactly would the PI be looking for to "prove divorce." If a PI went after my ex and I, I don't think they could come up with accurate information if they saw us together with the kids on a walk or something.

Ask him. Or, at least see where he is living and if he has kids, do the kids have rooms there?

FWIW I would be more concerned you are still on the deed of your ex's house. That is weird.

I am dating what appears to be a great guy, but having been burned before I would like to verify that he is actually divorced before this goes any further. I have checked the Virginia websites and it seems that only the people involved in the divorce can obtain records. Has anyone used or done anything different to obtain these records? I'd willing to pay a service if necessary.
And I am looking for actual divorce decree, not any other records like names on a home deed - I am still on the title of my XDH home even though we have been divorced for years, so I don't want inaccurate information.
