Laurie will get amazing results from your kid if they are willing to work. Her workouts are tough. The kids do not stop moving. Can not recommend her enough for a boy or girl.

My son worked three years with Ed. Well worth your time. He is now in college and looks forward to working with Ed more than his college keepe rcoach.

(She primarily trains in HoCo, so she may be one of the "too far" recommendations that you mentioned.)

I have also heard great things about academy one goalkeeping. The owner/lead coach is Edward Brown. I think that program is more structured -- one yearly fee for regular group training sessions, mentoring, etc. Skews a bit older because they focus on recruiting, but I think he starts around 5th grade for junior members. Runs sessions in Va and Md. Not sure if any are in MoCo.

A great summary of both of these - Laurie is amazing as is Ed. My son has learned so much from both experiences.

Bethesda has a weekly goalkeeper session on their website. You can email the head goalkeeper coach to ask for recommendations. The email address is listed.

What age, sex and current level? Probably different answers depending on those.

I've searched the archives for recommendations for a goalkeeping coach in the Montgomery County area. We tried Alex and liked him, but his wife just gave birth. The other recommendations are too far for us. Does anyone have any recent recommendations in Montgomery County or Northwest DC? Thank you.
