Callback lists were posted today.

Any sense of how many who get called back actually make the girls' teams?

Trying to figure out how all this works. I assume all existing ODP pool players have to tryout as well? Seemed like a lot of kids at both sessions for what is probably very few spots.

Everyone from last year’s pool has to try out again to get a spot. There are more spots than you think for district odp. There’s no set number. Most kids trying out get a spot. Gets more competitive when you go to state level and much more competitive at region level.

Maryland doesn't have district odp. .

Well that was short lived then.

Yes it didn't work because you didn't have the best players on one team when you went to play other states.

If you play for the club of the coach- you have a better chance of making regionals too. Like most things in youth soccer- costs more than you get in return and highly political.

I have never experienced poaching of kids at Maryland ODP. Most kids all know each other because they play against each other.

used to be very prevalant- especially with top team players

First time my DC tried out, too. They said it was fun and we're hoping for the best!

Maryland doesn't have district odp. Last year the u14 age group, they took 50+ kids. Make sure your kid talks alot and is a CM. That's all that coach wants. Oh and if your kid is not big, then most likely you'll be on the second team.
