I find their behavior disgusting towards us and I hope when things die down they see how cruel they have been to our family. We are also choosing to wait to vaccinate our 13 year old son. Apparently that has given us a huge red mark and we are barred from all family gatherings inside or out.

DHs family have a mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated and guess what? We see them all regardless of vaccine status. They are our family and we refuse to ostracize some over others. I honestly don’t understand how some of you can treat your own family like that. We will look back on this one day and be thankful we have each other.

I honestly don't understand how some family members would knowingly put children at risk.

I know - I guess they shouldn’t get in the car with Grandma or go swimming with their Uncle ever again. Those are some really risky behaviors!! Listen - my kids may or may not get covid. I know the risks and gasp - the science. You have a very unhealthy fear that is likely more toxic to your children’s well being than covid.

No indoor visits with their unvaccinated grandparents. They’re also qanon conspiracy theorists so vaccine status is a convenient way to keep visits short and avoid them spouting off anti science BS in front of the kids.

Does that affect whether you're willing to meet up with them in an indoor or outdoor environment?

No. Unvaccinated adults have removed themselves from society. We’ll see them when it’s over if they make it.

After 1.5 years we did just see my husband’s unvaccinated brother and his wife. I was annoyed about it but I’m not willing to never see them again. We are low risk for complications and everyone over 12 in my house is vaccinated.

Vaccinated people can still have and spread Covid. They're symptoms will be minimal/non exisistant so they won't even think they have it, and therefore won't test. They can still spread it to your kids.

I'd actually feel safer planning a trip to see UNvaccinated people--if they contract Covid they are more likely to have noticeable symptoms and will know they should get tested.

My kids are not seeing relatives due to their unsafe behavior. I don’t care about vaccination.

I wouldn't. The cost of socializing with my family is vaccination.

Are you having your vaccinated children meeting with unvaccinated relatives if they request it?

Similarly if you’re vaccinated are you interacting with anyone else in your extended families who are unvaccinated?
