Hi OP, I am so sorry for your losses. I am in a similar boat to you- no problem getting pregnant but a lot of trouble staying pregnant with recurrent miscarriages. If you have had products of conception tested and they have come back aneuploidy, or if you and your partner have done karyotyping and it's come back with an issue, then my understanding is that IVF with PGS testing is a good way forward. If your karyotyping is normal and your POC are euploid (as mine are) then I have been told that IVF will not help.

I was going to ask about a Karotype test as well. It’s a blood teat where they map out your chromosomes. This test revealed we have a Balanced Translocation which only affects fertility - it causes miscarriages. We used PGD and had 3 kids using IVF. Good luck.

Are you on supplements and vitamins? Metformin, COQ10, NAC, Vit D? Have you tried acupuncture, changing your diet (no sugar or alcohol), etc? IVF seems last resort. There’s a lot to try especially since you’re only 30. I’m the opposite of a hippie but even I recognize western medicine only goes so far. Go find a doctor that treats holistically - they’re out there, or see a reputable acupuncturist (who likewise doesn’t scoff at western medicine) and give yourself 3 months of clean eating and supplements. Tons and tons of studies out there that support better egg quality after lifestyle changes.

I went through something similar. I had two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy in a year. I graduated to IVF and PGS tested six embryos. Only two came back without serious chromosomal problems. Transferred one and had a problem-free pregnancy and a healthy baby. But I was expecting the worst for 39 straight weeks.

It checks that your chromosomes have normal morphology. You can have abnormal chromosomes and be healthy as long as everything is there, but when you go to make gametes pieces get lost and it causes repeated miscarriages.

I think you have good odds since you’re young and presumably have good ovarian reserve. But I would do a very thorough RPL panel before starting. Check for balanced translocations since you mentioned chromosomal issues.

Curious to hear experiences - my problem is not getting pregnant but staying pregnant. I have been pregnant 3 times and have miscarried all between 8-12 weeks, well after seeing a healthy heartbeat and normal ultrasound. Chromosomal issues.

I am hoping IVF with embryo testing will help resolve this. Anyone with similar experience go on to have success with IVF? (I am only 30 by the way.)
