At 41 I finally had success again on cycle 7 (AMH is now .17) with a mini stim cycle where I got one blast, untested, transferred now DD #2.

no male factor - we even did the dna frag test and he was normal

so with low AMH you MUST go somewhere that is not just going to blast you with max stims and then call it a day. You'll see a PP that IUI worked better - that's because less drugs (or none at all) are used. I had 3 RE's tell me at 34 that i would never had a bio child and to go to donor eggs - I feel so awful so how many women listen to these docs without trying alternate routes. Good luck!

Do not waste time on iui with DOR.

Did you read the above. PP used conventional IVF and mini stim. What doesn’t work is getting hit with max stims and then getting a shrug when you have poor response or no blasts.

Yes, I agree. That’s why I suggested natural cycle IVF.

I had 0.34 AMH right after I turned 33 and got pregnant naturally the very next month. I realize I got lucky though but it's not impossible.

I was 35 with an undetectable AMH and got pregnant naturally and had a healthy baby. Like the pp said, it affects the number of eggs but not always egg quality.

My AMH was <.01 at age 37. I’d only had two spontaneous pregnancies in 3 years of trying before that. I did natural cycle ivf. Worked on the first try. Good luck to you.

Op here. - pp. thank you for your post! I have done so many clomid and femera cycles and have always failed. I’m wondering if I need to look into that being an issue and why. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!!

And thank you for everyone’s stories. My Ob suggests dr Humm at Gw. But they aren’t taking new patients. I’ll start researching.

I had low AMH and managed to have 3 kids somehow using IUIs, the last one at 45. all my IVFs failed miserably. my FSH was always under 10.

My amh was undetectable and my fsh was 12 or something, when I got pregnant on a medicated iui cycle. Twice! I have two great kids. I was 34 and 36. Oh, and my afc was 2. You literally never know. Good luck op!

I had low AMH (not as low as your's) and DH's sperm count was technically in the infertile range and I managed to get PG from gas fumes after a year. The low AMH thing doesn't impact "bedroom" fertility that much as long as you are ovulating. Your body can recruit one egg a month. It matters more in IVF when you're trying to get a bunch of eggs. It can mean menopause is coming earlier, though.

Make sure all the low hanging fruit are plucked, like making sure your tubes are open, making sure you hit the fertile window every month and I've heard vitamins for sperm quality can help.

I had CD blood work this month and numbers seem to be drastically different than 3 years ago.

I’m 38
AMH .58
FSH 9.2

My husbands SA wasn’t great either. Low sperm motility. I’ve had a miscarriage and then a chromosomal related D&C over the past 18 months

All other numbers looked good. We aren’t in a place to go for IVF right now, so it’s hard to not be discouraged. I would love some positive stories to cling too!
