If the kids literally are the same age, it's not cheating OR stealing. And if you favor the kids in the younger grade, you are cheating OR stealing opportunities from that kid who's in the higher grade.

The club needs to help them BOTH. Not favor one over the other. These clubs are selling platforms to college coaches which means making sure ALL players get the exposure they need. The better they are at that, the more they succeed. That's why they're willing to be flexible. [/quote]

No you're not. You're about hiding behind the rules and waiting for whatever opportunity you see to try and push your play down agenda. Too bad its not going to work here. 
[/quote]Here playing up as a choice isn't allowed and playing up is rare and reserved for the best on a case by case basis as decided by clubs based on talent. There is no hiding behind rules, the clubs run the show.

"Here" plays by the same rules as everyone else. Over time clubs even "here" will start playing playing Aug birthdays on their grade in school team because its easier and solves all kinds of issues.[/quote]You keep saying this but I am gonna side with ECNL dude. He has real reasons to play on age for regular season rather than a vague "solves all kinds of issues." FYI, grouping based on 2 criteria is much more difficult than one, DOB.[/quote]
