Hey - just want to poll the parents of young teens whose kids were born in August but school year cut off is Sept. 1. How many of us are there here?

If you are a parent whose son falls in this gap - what are you doing? Is there an option to push up? I have been excited all along because my son will finally get to be the tallest and oldest since he's always the youngest at school. Today he said he was worried might not be challenged enough but then said it might help him stand out (very tall). Therefore I just wanted to come here to hear everyone's perspective about if they have a kid in this category and your thoughts.

Also, next year my son will be in 9th and will try out for high school soccer. In addition, our highest level here is ECNL - no MLS next nearby - closest is 6 hour drive.[/quote]

Also most parents are relaying that they plan to have their Aug birthday kid play on a correct grade in school team.

There is no league that goes by school grade so it's literally impossible to play according to something that doesn't exist [/quote]
