:lol: NP here.  I was pretty sheltered growing up. My understanding of where the hymen was situated was gleaned from romance novels, and I came to understand that it was deep inside the birth canal, because the hero was always surprised about the heroine's virginity - "Why did you not tell me before, I would have been gentle with you!".

Anyways, as a virgin on my wedding night, I was not prepared for the pain that came without the deep penetration and I thought that my DH maybe went into the wrong hole. I had heard there were 3 holes!!

Here is the worst part...I just figured it out a few years ago, as a middle aged woman with two kids and a healthy sex life. I don't think that my DH knows or remembers since he was a virgin too.  BTW - we both searched for the blood stains and since there was not even a smear we thought that the pain was not from the hymen breaking. I was convinced I was not physically a virgin because I use to play sports.[/quote]
