1) This would be an awful thing to do to this character. Cutting is not like a drug addiction -- it doesn't impair her ability as a doctor and she's not committing a felony in taking that scalpel (it's not great, but it's not like stealing controlled substances). There's nothing for Langdon to catch, do it would just be a massive invasion of her privacy.

It sounds soapy and silly to me.

Even last season, when they had Robby walk in on Dr. Collins giving herself an ultrasound, was one of the dumber things we've seen on the show. But at least that had the internal logic of Collins wanting to check on her pregnancy ASAP and needing access to an ultrasound in an exam room. But someone who cuts is not going to do that in an unlocked supply closet, especially since we know Santos has a longer history with it (some of her scars looked old) so would know how to hide it. She would choose somewhere with a door she could lock, no question.[/quote]
