SJC practices all year, but IAC schools are not allowed to practice until season starts.
both teams are full of year-round lax bros.
Of course they are, most top teams in the DMV are. The statement was that SJC practices as a team together year round. IAC teams are not allowed to.
My son plays for a top private school program in the area and will most likely play in college if he chooses to. We continue to remind him, grades will open far more future doors than lacrosse will. I can assure you, his HS lacrosse coaches aren't having organized practices or team lifting sessions after school in the Fall. His coaches make it very clear to the boys in the lacrosse program to play a 2nd sport, whether it's soccer, football, or cross-country they don't care as they want the boys competing. My son's team doesn't play in a fall ball or winter box league and hasn't for all the years we have been at the school. For all the prospective MS lax parents on this thread, be very wary of any HS coach who is pushing a year-round lacrosse regiment as it can lead to burnout. This is HS sports, not college sport. And if you really think playing lacrosse year-round will make your son a better player, oftentimes than not, it will lead to overuse in muscle development and potential injury.
