Taking a gun from someone who should not have been handling it WAS Alec Baldwin's job. Not verifying with the armorer that the gun was unloaded and empty WAS Alec Baldwin's job as soon as he decided to take possession of it. He caused that woman's death because of his failure to follow the protocols.[/quote] Except that the AD's job is to oversee all safety on the set, and to supervise the armorer. An explicit part of that is to be the person to double check each weapon after the armorer does. So, asking the AD makes as much or more sense than asking the armorer. [/quote]
