DP.  Look, he was dumb enough to take a gun, not check (verbally with the armorer or visually by checking his own darn self) if the gun was loaded, point it in the direction of a group of people and fire it.  He is still ultimately responsible.  And I admit that I think he is a complete jerk (yes, I know him).  But he is even more dumb than I would have thought possible with this latest act.  It is really sad that his hubris and his inability to follow even basic rules (do not point a gun at anyone and don't fire it if you aren't 100% sure it is empty) caused this young woman to die.  He deserves to be brought up on criminal charges and he should pay for his actions.  Other people as well, but he should be at the head of the 'you're going to jail' pack.[/quote]

He checked with the AD, who is NOT the armorer.  He did NOT check with the person he should have check with.  It doesn't matter if he asked the AD, the AD was not the person responsible for managing the guns.  Alec Baldwin is WRONG because he did NOT check with the right person.  Although it does prove just how dumb he was - that he didn't even think that he wasn't asking the right person.  His stupidity caused the death of that young woman.  He deserves to be held accountable for that.[/quote]
