Bill Nelson didn't campaign. He was just MIA through the whole campaign. Rick Scott actually ran a really energetic campaign. I hate him, I HATE him, but he actually seemed to want the job - while Nelson seemed to want a nap.

I will never stop being angry that Nelson didn't either campaign or let someone else try to run that time.

No.  I think he was pretty old by that time (like 75 years old) .  Most people in their mid 70s are thinking about assisted living facilities not running a highly competitive Senate race.  Democrats need to build their bench so all these septuagenarians/octagenerians don’t keep running. [/quote]
