Based on the recent news (i.e., lots of left-leaning states / localities are RIGHT NOW ending mask mandates), I suspect Virginia D leadership (perhaps on the advice of national D leadership) will find a way to end the mask mandate way before July, despite D-voter anxiety. The optics of mask mandates continuing in to summer when the rest of the world and country are RIGHT NOW ending the mandates is going to play terribly.  I think D politicians could play this as a win for science and kids, but they need their base to sing the same tune.    [/quote]
