I don't think Kentlands/Lakelands view QO as dangerous. The neighbors know the school doesn't perform as high as Churchill or Wooton, but most don't care about that. In fact, many of the neighbors graduated from a W school and chose to move to this area so as to avoid sending their kids to such competative, high pressure schools. [/quote]

As a Lakeland resident, Quince Orchard (QO) is maybe okay, but Gaithersburg is a definite no without even thinking twice. We would consider private school if Kentland/Lakelands were assigned to Gaithersburg HS. I really doubt that will happen since it’s quite far. Regarding property values, I think there might be a small effect, but nothing dramatic since QO is not one of the top schools. We chose to live in Lakeland because of the convenience. But it seems like pretty much everyone thinks assigning to Gaithersburg is unlikely to happen, right?[/quote]
